City of Richmond decides date for 2022 municipal election

On Saturday, October 15, Richmond residents will go to the polls to elect a mayor, 8 councilors and a school board

The City of Richmond has set a date for the next municipal and school board elections – Saturday October 15th.

Richmond residents will again be called upon to vote for a mayor, eight councilors and seven school trustees.

All eligible voters are encouraged to register through Elections BC, where they can find out if they are already on the voters list by using the “Am I on the voters list?” search on the city’s website.

Eligible voters will be able to vote in person at their designated polling station on General Election Day or at any of the advance polling stations that will be offered for five days (October 1, 5, 6, 7 and 8).

A number of accessible voting options will be available during this election, including curbside voting, mail-in ballots, and a ballot tagging device accessible at City Hall during advance voting. .
