Indore Municipal Corporation issues spot fine when seizing 300kg of polythene

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Taking strict action against those who collect and sell non-standard polythene banned in the city by Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav and IMC Commissioner Pratibha Pal, a one-time fine of Rs 50,000 was imposed on a trader, Ravi Bhatia, on Monday.

Health worker Gautam Bhatia said Ravi Bhatia, who was secretly selling banned polythene bags in the city, was under constant surveillance by the company and the NGO Divine team.

During surveillance, Ravi’s flea market in Jinsi was found to be selling non-standard polyethylene while going from store to store on an Activa scooter.
