Municipal Waste Drop Shocking New Video For “Electrified Brain”

In case you’re looking for a way to “waste” three minutes and 33 seconds off your Thursday, Municipal Waste has a new video inspired by the two best things out there: 80s horror movies and metal videos from the days of Headbangers Ball glory. It will melt your face (spoiler!).

Commenting on the new single and video, guitarist Ryan Waste said:

“’Electrified Brain’ is a story of revenge and redemption, continuing the concept of our song ‘Mental Shock’ completing the ‘Deathripper Trilogy’. It’s about being unfairly accused and stripped of rights, only to overcome and break free from the electric power of heavy music. We called on our friend Norman Cabrera again to take care of the title track video after the amazing job he did on “Slime and Punishment”. Visually, it went above and beyond and became a much more cinematic experience thanks to Rob Lucas of Wolfpack Studios.

Director Norman Cabrera adds about the making of the video:

“I pulled out all the stops for this video. It’s in the spirit of classic Heavy Metal videos like Ozzy’s Bark at the Moon and Dio’s The Last in Line. The Sci Fi-Horror imagery lends itself very well to the group’s vibe. We channel a bit of Cronenberg and Carpenter. The best sci-fi movies of the past often take current events and place them in a fantasy setting. The video is set in a not so distant dystopian future where your individuality can be taken away by a faceless organization. It’s a wild concept but not too far removed from our world today.

electrified brain is due out July 1st from Nuclear Blast and is already available for pre-order (or pre-save or whatever).
