MUNICIPAL WASTE’s TONY FORESTA worked for WWE during the pandemic

Since touring wasn’t really an option for a while during the pandemic, musicians had to find different sources of income. “I feel like a lot of people have gone one way or the other; where they dug into their addictions or their bad behavior, or got out of it, and found different ways to use their concentration,” he said, transcribed by The pit. “I definitely took a positive path and I’m really grateful and lucky for that. It was a crazy experience.”

Forest explained that WWE had his ThunderDome near his home in St. Petersburg, Florida, and a friend who worked there got him the runner job.

“I got a job with WWE during the thing. They had [the ThunderDome] here in St. Petersburg – that’s where I live. One of my very good friends works there, and she said to me, ‘Well, you don’t do anything, you want to come and work in the bubble? You live down the street. I was like ‘Fuck yeah!’; I am a big wrestling fan.

“I spent a lot of time in it; and then when it left [St. Petersburg to Tampa, they brought me along for that. Then I ended up helping set up WrestleMania; I was out there for a month at the stadium. It was fucking awesome; I had a WWE band at the end of it. Then when they started going on the road and they asked me to do that a little bit, I fucked my knee up.”
