Session of the candidates for the municipal elections – Ville de LaSalle
Residents of Windsor, Essex County who are considering running in the October municipal election are invited to attend a free virtual seminar at 6:00 p.m. on April 28, 2022, to learn more about the process.
There will be presentations by Ken Antaya, former Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer of the City of LaSalle, as well as presentations by representatives from the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
Anyone interested in attending the Zoom meeting is asked to pre-register on Zoom using the meeting registration link. After registering, attendees will receive a confirmation email with information about joining the meeting.
Registration is required so the event can be interactive and participants can ask questions and seek information in breakout rooms specific to the municipality in which they plan to run.
The municipal election will take place on Monday, October 24, 2022. The nomination period begins on Monday, May 2, 2022 and the last day to file your documents is Friday, August 19, 2022 at 2 p.m.

- The role of local and county councils
- The role of municipal staff
- Nominations and Candidate Eligibility
- Rules and duties of candidates and third parties with regard to advertising
- General campaign rules and election financing
